VOTING A TEA PARTY MESSAGE

On November 2nd, “We the people” sent a message.  So many hours have been devoted to this message.  We the people are hurting. 

 Our economy is in a mess that makes the Carter era pale in comparison.  Our manufacturers are closing at  a record pace.  Corporations that employ non-Americans that sell products to Americans should pay higher taxes.  Americans MUST learn to appreciate craftsmanship, and NOT the cheap price for goods.  It is simple, we cannot afford both. 

The American public is scared beyond belief.  Enlarging a government that is already unsustainable is madness.  No jobs will equal no tax base at some point.   To those who have found themselves newly unemployed this morning by the American public, Good Luck!  If you had thought more about job creation and less about political theocracy, you might still be employed.   The world you are about to enter has changed.

Debt, now that you have spent this 3 plus trillion-dollar debt in 22 months, we find ourselves deeper in debt, with the same outlook.

Today is a new page, and as one of thousands of people in the movement we call, “The Tea Party”, I look forward to a new day with possibilities.  I do not pretend to know what will occur.  I am excited by the possibilities.  Fear now gives way for many to real hope.  Hope that our government remembers its duty and obligation to the American public. 

After last summer’s town hall meetings which left me seriously questioning  those in charge, we are embarking on the hope that our newly elected officials remember who put them in office and why.     Shrink the government, shrink our debt, shrink  our trade deficits, and put Americans back to work.  We are watching!!!!

A Day In The Mommy Race

What a day, a week, and somewhere there is someone who will tell me that it is less than four months until Christmas. This year, I remind myself, is a birthday age I just might skip. Barbie and I have a little too much in common.

Business HAT
My website for my business is up and running, but my e-mail campaign will take me another week. As I carefully and cautiously meander thru a business year with so many concerns. I wonder every day if I am making the best decisions for my very tiny business. Nine years have flown by effortlessly. My business strictly built on word of mouth now needs a small boost, due to job layoffs. I talk with clients who still are looking for jobs, they want to work They are truly frustrated after searching 9 or 10 months, there simply are no jobs. I understand why. FEAR! Fear and as many of my clients who have businesses tell me there is a serious lack of monies from banks who would rather help other countries, or larger companies who might get bailout monies making them a better risk. Then the gorilla in the room that no one speaks of……taxes. What will small businesses owe next year? What new taxes will Health Care Reform mean to my very tiny business? And the biggest question I toil over. Will I have to “layoff” my friend I care for because I cannot afford to give mandated Health Care? I have read SECTION 3 of HR 3200. It is clear that mandated health care from all businesses is the cornerstone. Pay 75% or 5% of gross. Like I live on gross! Business costs take 50% of every dollar. 5% public option or 75% private option plus 7.65% matching monies, and CPA costs to meet government paper requirements. Business down a little, with these increases, not knowing how this will affect others around my business, which I depend on. Will this start inflation? The real laugh here for me on a personal note, is that I have NO HEALTH insurance. Why? I do not meet the standards to be covered, why? I am overweight. I have been on a diet, one or another for three years. It is frustrating but I will get there. I DO NOT want the public option. I have no fantasy that I will receive any health care there either. Also I do not want to burden further generations for own selfish concerns. I do not want government control over my health, it is simply TOO invasive, it is socialism. Forcing it down my throat is fascism. Anyway, I get real angry when they keep talking about the uninsured, like they have actually investigated the issue. All I can say, “NO ONE ASKED ME!”

I blog sometimes between clients. They are wonderful and have the best of intentions. One commented that I need a secretary or assistant. I have to laugh! My intention had been to train an assistant but that thought was replaced by a website that has online booking, and no matching taxes with questionable new taxes coming.
On he bright side I may have found one of my clients a job thru another client.

No one sees the second part of running a tiny business. The list includes, ordering products, inventory, cleaning equipment, marketing and answering the phone. I am truly thankful my business is still doing fairly well partly due to zero debt and bottom line efforts. I work to constantly care for my clients and give them the same effort each and every time. I have to keep up with advanced education and networking on the side.

The Wife and Mommy Hat Begins
It is Saturday, the end of my work week. It is 6pm, and I started work at 8 am. I am ready to get in my car (38 mpg because I have waited in line for gas during Carter’s administration). It is time for another hat/title. The “Mommy Race” begins. I will hurry home to have a little time with my sweet hubby, my little elementary school daughter who is growing up before my eyes. She has called already. What are we eating, and, oh she is desperate for a new Nintendo.

Mommy and Grandma and Wife Hat
Sunday morning! Sleep later and catch up a little. It is so hard to sleep well during the work week. So much to do, working late, keeps me revved up so I do not sleep well. Then getting up ealry to get little one off to school with daddy. He does most of it but she would be disappointed if I did not get up and talk with her. Having older children as well, I know how important this truly is. Like her new teacher. Great PUBLIC education in Texas, no matter what some might say. The key to good public education is making certain your kids are in a district where parents are involved and watching what is going on, it just keeps the system working and kids at their best. You have to help schools, and kids, in order for them to succceed.
Still need to get another uniform to make certain she has enough clothing for the school year. She gave her best friend her clothes she could no longer wear, I slipped in two new uniforms, so she would have something nice. Her parents have it tough but they still make choices like dog toys and improving their home over clothes. Can’t understand this, but who am I to judge. Reality, the kids are all that matter, so I do what I can silently.

My older daughter will come over this afternoon and bring the five year old granddaughter who started kindergarten, she will bat those little eyes and ask to go to the movies.

But before that happens I need to drive 30 or so miles to see my mom in assited living and give her money so that she has enough to live there. Social security does not meet all her needs so my sister and I divide the additional monies needed. She has done much better than when either of us tried living with her. She needs people her own age to be emotionally happy. She was wasting away and trying to die off living with us.

I also need to call my son to see how his family is doing, two little baby girls who are so sweet. So much to do, so I will get myself together, place one foot in front of the other and relax this evening.

Political Activism Hat

Yes my life is full, it is difficult to add “activism”. Actively lobbying for my families future. As a parent, and grandparent, small business owner, and American I owe every effort to defeating BIG government’s intention of invading personal spaces. Future generations will know that I have made every effort on their behalf to do so. If this passes, my immediate concern is unemployment. Jobs will NOT be created at the rate needed, and the numbers could rise dramatically. Small businesses may have to drastically lay off to survive. Large corporations will get a boost most likely, because they may save money with the public option. The UNIONS, like SEIU, who support this, are not included. Not according to HR 3200. What will unemployment look like in the coming years?

This is what is at stake and why there will be a Recess Rally on Saturday, September 12 2009. All who are concerned need to stand together, it is still our right. May we hold our heads high when we are called names for looking at the future with realistic pragmatic eyes. The truth is we must uphold our rights. I will not exchange my loss of privacy, the invasion of the IRS into Healthcare, so a few people can place a burden of ideology upon the rest of America.

By the way, since I am FAT, namecalling does not bother me. I have been able to become a productive American.

If We Were Married to the Government, We Would Need “Marriage” Counseling!

If Pennsylvania Avenue and Congress were my spouse, we would be in dire need of marriage counseling and facing a very messy divorce.  The story might read something like this……

It all started out with a party.  Some of my relatives were not certain that my spouse had the resume’ to take over the family business, they warned me but were patiently waiting to see the result.  In a matter of weeks he started dipping into the family trust.  My relatives objected, but he paid them no attention.  In fact, he spent more money in a few weeks than  my grandparents had in their combined lifetimes.   As I opened the checkbook, the veil was lifted.

I soon discovered some of my boyfriends had previously dipped into the account without my consent or knowledge.  They had cleverly gotten my mind on other matters, so I would not notice.  Certainly, I felt foolish, but this relationship had promised to be different.  In fact, every time we visited family and friends, he proclaimed his honor, his love, and his honesty.  My older, wiser relatives were not impressed as they gave me proof of the type of friends he hung around.  Would I listen?  YOU SEE, I was certain they just did not understand.  There were rumors that they just did not like him because he was so tall.  These relatives had not handled the family business that well when they had been in charge and I really believed they were judging him harshly.  Now I had to face the fact, that as imperfect as my family might be, they really had been faithful to the family business.  

I wanted to believe, to trust, that he was right for me, and now …..well….here we are nine months later. 

After nine months of marriage, we would be looking at bankruptcy, a lack of honesty regarding our monetary situation, and an attitude that has left me feeling betrayed and demeaned.  He would assure me that everything he was doing was for my own good, and even in my best interest.  He explained how many problems had been left over by my Uncle who had run the business.  He told me the mess we were in was totally my Uncle’s fault.  Rival businesses were now coming over to our home for lavish parties to impress people who really reviled my family.

My Uncle told me privately that he wondered how this would work in our favor.  We had a whole legal team constantly fighting to keep our business from being stolen by these same people.  When I asked my husband about this, he declared I was a dumb woman who should leave this to him.  He knew more, and I was listening to gossip.  This angered me and the distance grew between us.  Soon it was obvious that no matter how I felt or what logical concerns I brought up, he quickly dismissed with no discussion .  So here we are today, next week he wants to sell a part of the company.  His friends have convinced him this is the best way to get out of bankruptcy.  Unfortunately he simply will not listen to reason.  I am truly worried, it is one of the few parts of the business that is actually making us  money.  He took out so many loans, that we have received letters notifying us that our credit is on borrowed time.  He foolishly calls me names and thinks we should still remain married.  Counseling is our last hope.  Maybe he will listen to a third party.

We just returned from our third counseling session and he is more determined than ever to continue his course.  He now seeks to destroy the good name of our counselor because he has openly disagreed.  I was shocked to learn that he had hired bullies to intimidate the counselor.

I fear divorce may be inevitable if he does not come back to counseling with me.

1 Deceptive Night!

In an era of political promises gone awry, it is no real surprise that the greatest change in American government would occur in the middle of the night.  In fact, it is appropriate.  Night has long been the time for thieves to prey upon victims.  Night gives deception comfort. 

As Americans came together by the hundreds of thousands,  unprecedented in my lifetime,  they were made fun of, mocked, and belittled.  Why?  We had the courage of conviction to say, “NO”.  No, we do not want more government control or interference with our “right to the pursuit of happiness”.  It is a very easy and simple idea to transfer to the public.  More government equals more control.  Less government equals less control.  My personal choices in health should NOT be controlled or authorized by the government. 

The progressives know the argument and they do not care.  All reality of choice and opinion fall upon deaf ears.  They had an agenda to grow the government hoping to attain more power and control.  They believe. 

Progressive ideology believes they are right and anything will justify the ends to attain their means.  So goes the middle of the night on the weekend where no one can call or bother them.  Maybe we lowly people will even forget by Monday morning!  Sorry, you’ve been drinking too much of your own ideologies for too long.

You have not seen how angry Americans can get when you mess with their country.  Our constitution is clear,  Congress is supposed to reflect the majority of its constituents.  When the majority continually say, “NO”!

Progressives love to talk about compromise.  Let me decode this.  Compromise means, “Get out-of-the-way, if you have the audacity to disagree with a Progressive.”

ONCE UPON A POLITICAL FAIRYTALE

Ever feel like we are all in a bad fairytale?

 Well, once upon a time we celebrated work, earning money, and helping one another. 

Once upon a time we understood that America stood for opportunity.

We understood that there were many ways to create the “pursuit of happiness”.  Some created happiness thru the pursuit of education, some thru creativity, and others thru hard work and the pursuit of excellence.  The roads, the opportunities to celebrate freedom and happiness were made available by a society that supported dreams.  One dared to dream of success.  Success was measured in many ways.  To some comfort and freedom represented success.  To others travel and wealth.  But all agreed that opportunity was the key.  What created the opportunity?  An environment where we celebrated and taught our families to dream and be the best possible.  Pick your dream, your goals and go forward. 

Today, I have a President who is having  job summit’s to encourage job growth.  It is unfortunate that an educator, he does not understand what causes job growth in this country.   You cannot continuously demonize opportunity, profits, and dreams.  You cannot threaten to punish those who have created their own opportunities.  You cannot divide success. 

My grandfather, who lived thru the “Great Depression”, understood people. He always told me to, “aim HIGH”.  He explained, “Aim as high as possible.  You may not reach your goal.  But you will go farther than those who have no goals, no dreams, or no desires.  If you make it only half way, it is better than NO WAY!”  He also told me, “No government can give you dreams, but they either create an environment where dreams are possible or difficult.”

He went on to explain,  ” Politicians have ideas.  When political ideas are good, the country responds with growth.  When political ideas are bad, people are fearful.  Fear creates a response of pulling inward, looking for greater meaning, and fearing government.  When the latter occurs, not only are people in fear but the government is out of step with its people.  In other words, the relationship of trust is broken.” 

Mr. President,  you could have learned so much from my simple grandfather.  He was not a great orator, not a rock star, nor did he invoke fear.  He simply trusted, believed, and learned from the world around him.

You, Mr. President need to look at the world around you.  What do you see?

Foreclosures, job losses, tax revenues falling, and protesters.  Does this sound like a formula for success?  Does this look like a country ready to move forward?  You can have meetings, summits, etc….  But until you create an environment where Americans are ready to trust again and move forward, very little will change.

Deficit Spending aka U.S. Credit Card

They all stomp- around like children and yell the sky is falling. Well, it has fallen before. Let’s just deal with this mess. It is time to draw the line in the sand. The American Credit Card needs to be limited. Default, you cry! Then, let me suggest that you are NOT in charge and you need to compromise and co-operate. That is what a real government is supposed to accomplish. I know some of you are still giddy from those two powerful years, but they are over. Like it or not, the American people disagreed at the voting booth. Our message is clear, it is time for our government to go on a real budget. It sounds a little like work, I know. I would just like to say, “YES YOU CAN!!!”

Eliminating tax breaks effects everyone. If you actually cut government spending in a real way, then maybe we can make some adjustments. But you really have to step up to the plate because your records are very dismal. In other words, our experience of your efforts has LEFT a very BAD taste in our BEING!!!! We do not trust you. You just bring out the same rhetoric over and over and over. Great example! Rich people, rich people. Well I have noticed those Democratic dinners are beyond my budget!!! There are rich people on both sides of the fence.
Do you really think that argument applies to everything????? How about this, there are real Americans suffering. Focus on real budgets, focus on job creation. If you do not, then we will just keep going around this un-merry-go-round.

Is It Weener or Whiner?

You would think this is news.  Sextgate!  Really!   He needs re-hab?!?  The era of Tiger.  I am not wrong, I am not foolish….. I am an addict. 

No sir, you thought you could do what you wanted.  You live in a bubble where you see immorality every day.  You never considered your wife.  You never thought of your parents.   You certainly never considered your future children.  You thought of yourself. 

Here is the truth. 

When you stand next to someone warts all and say, “Ido!”  It means, I pledge that you are more important than myself.   It means, my future is now yours.  We are attached.  If I do well, you do well.  If I hurt you, I hurt myself.  Apparently no one told you what marriage meant.  There are two choices.  1.) I care about myself, more than you.   2.)I care about you, more than myself.  You chose  number 1, to care about yourself more. 

You believed that it was not hurting anyone.  Do you believe this now?   Sir, stop whining.  Stop giving excuses.   Instead take stock and ask some very hard questions?

Is this the love I promised my wife?   What does love require in a real relationship?  Where can our marriage  go from here?  Will my wife ever trust the same?  Will my wife feel special, when words of love are spoken?   What do you see when you look in your wife’s eyes? Pain? Understanding? Love? Forgiveness?    

Did you understand that being a public figure meant you were a “Public” figure?    I do not know you.  To this generation it just means another man who cares very little others.   Another politician of little character.  Why should I care about politics?  But maybe, one young man or young woman will determine to be better and do more.  On some occasions bad character can speak to others and create a spark.   I must hope that somewhere someone will learn from your mistakes.

Americans Must Question President

•Only native-born U.S. citizens (or those born abroad, but only to parents who were both citizens of the U.S.) may be president of the United States, though from time to time that requirement is called into question, most recently after Arnold Schwarzenegger, born in Austria, was elected governor of California, in 2003. The Constitution originally provided a small loophole to this provision: One needn’t have been born in the United States but had to be a citizen at the time the Constitution was adopted. But, since that occurred in 1789, that ship has sailed.
This is a serious issue. I am tired of being called names by people with AGENDAS. The President of The United Staes does NOT make the grade. Period. His father was born in KENYA, and was not an American citizen. His mother was a citizen. It does not matter where he was born. It only atters to whom he was born. Two American citizens equalos the right to pursue the Presidency.
Why has the issue been skirted? No matter who youy like or do not like , the law is supposed to come int play to protect our country from possible sabotage. This man NEVER made the grade to be President. Truth. Period. Where was Congress, or the Supreme Court? The balance of our country has gone awry. The media? Only Alan Keyes, recently reminded everyone of the real issue. He does not have two American citizen parents.

Mr. Speaker I am Listening

I listened to your news conference today.   It was a good start with a good message.  As a member of  The Tea Party I will listen with great interest.  It is my sincere hope that you will follow with great action.  I believe it is possible.   You have become the representative we will call, “the go to guy”.      I hope we the American public can go to you with realistic expectations and receive something, we in the business world call, “results”.   We the people are expecting a lot from you and it may be irrational.   I will be listening, and watching.

NAME CALLING AND BLAMING ELECTION TACTICS

WHAT  WILL YOU DO!  What  will happen when you see that dirty tricks, name calling, lying, and other disgusting tricks will not win elections anymore.   Wake up politicians, we want plans, ideas, and people who can bring AMERICA back to creating JOBS, safety, and ideas that translate into new products, new technologies, growth, and real vibrancy. 

NO I AM NOT TIMOTHY MCVEIGH!    Tea Party people have ideas.  They want peace and prosperity for the masses.  We want more not less.  We are today’s Abigail Adams, we resemble the principles and doctrinal beliefs in the US Constitution.  We are expressing freedom speech and we want to embrace our future. 

We know there are problems and we know the same old people with the old ideas can’t bring about the changes we need.  Our change and hope is in ideas that have proven effective.  We want LEADERSHIP.   We want someone to say, Together we can do more, be better, dream bigger, help others more……not less.  

We want to encourage business not stifle or scare business.  But we want everyone to have the same playing field.  If you fail, then you fail.  No government bailouts.    WE WANT MORE JOBS NOT FOOD STAMPS.  This time we are watching what you do not what you say.

EVER GET BUSY WITH LIVING??

I have been quiet for a few weeks. Believe me I still have plenty to say. It is important to take a break sometimes and get re-focused. I am ready to get this TEA PARTY to the POLLS!!!!! Walking the neighborhoods and telling people in plain English my perspective of the TEA PARTY movement. Putting a face to the movement. Who am I? I AM AN AMERICAN!!!! I want a government which respects my INDIVIDUAL rights, and a government I can respect. I do not necessarily need to agree with anyone 100% and if I did it would frighten me. As Hillary Rodham Clinton said, and I am paraphrasing, It is my right and duty to protest a government I disagree with. Thanks for the advice!

Term Limits

With the 13 Trillion dollar explosion of debt now a reality in record time, it gives me firm resolve that Term Limits using the 5th Ammendment is our only hope of returning the government back to the vision our Founding fathers had imagined. Instead, Congressional leaders are wheelchaired in, they remain until they die, and not enough NEW ideas happen. Term Limits creates more players more often. New blood with new ideas. Until then we must truly look at ALL elected officials with a little skepticsm. Get facts, go to sources yourself. You will discover just how crazy it really is, and it will scare you. It is OK, this is how you learn, grow and realize what really is important.
Democracy is important because it has and is helping people. The messengers are not necessarily living up to the reality. The largest amount of people who stick together get heard. Silence means you agree in politics. Politics determines what limits your life may have.
So speak up, stick together, do the work and get it accomplished. Do this, not for yourselves but for future generations. Future generations deserve better than what we took for granted.

Term Limits to limit lobbyists.
Term Limits to limit individual power.
Term Limits to create a fairer playing field for every state.
Term Limits because Congress NEVER will.
Term Limits for new ideas.
Term Limits to keep us moving forward.
Term Limits because it is time!

A CALL TO TERM LIMITS!

I send out this plea to all US citizens who agree that the time for TERM LIMITS has arrived.   I send out this call to ALL  who are tired of the same old politics to join me in a CAUSE.    I BELIEVE that the majority of United States citizens know, understand, and agree that Term Limits for elected officials in State and Federally elected positions need limited office.

Our forefathers dreamed of citizen government.  We have anything but!  We the people have the internet.   We the people have each other.  No elected official will ever limit their power.  So we the people MUST!!!!   We the people can do this if we try.  Never in our history has the opportunity been so possible, so available.  Together we can do this!

Join me!   Let’s send out the call together!    TERM LIMITS,  A MOVEMENT WE CAN ALL BELIEVE IN!

2010: WE THE PEOPLE

As I sit here tonight pondering the fact that our deficit nears 13 Trillion, I wonder where we Americans are today?  What has the US government accomplished with this money?  With All this debt?  

To hear our politicians tell the story, they have saved us!   Let me ask some strange questions.   I know this may sound, well, too rational.   Will someone please tell me, please explain to me  WHO we saved?  Who did our elected leaders save?   How many US citizens are really unemployed?   Did the electorate get  the citizens in the working column,  are they employed?

Did the electorate put people back in the homes they lost?  The jobs they lost?  The cars they lost?   The businesses they lost?  

Who did  they save?   What will it really cost?   Who will pay for it?  When?  

R E F O R M!     A word that has been thrown around to explain what our government claims it is doing to answer the causes of the problems that led to economic disaster.    Really?    Who answered for the deeds?  Where are the reports that say this agency failed to do its job and we need to eliminate an agency that failed.  The committee in Congress that watches over our economy, where were they?   Who failed to see or act?   Have they confessed?  

The idea that another Commission or a new Agency will fix, stop, or repair the flaws of our economy when we already had agencies that were supposed to do this, yet no one says where were they and why did they not see this coming?    So let’s add another layer of  government.    It’s like I burned dinner but peeled off some of the burnt parts and said this works, ” Let’s eat!”

No, here’s a great idea.   Let’s spend more money we do not have.   Money, you know will fix everything!   Let us give more power to  the Federal Reserve.

Why does the Federal Reserve get any vote of confidence?   What  is it that they have stopped?   Who are they going to be accountable to?   We have never even audited these people.   They self audit and report.   Let me try that!   They actually spent money without authority, then they have refused to tell us who received money that is now DEBT!    So this is supposed to be an answer to a National Economic Disaster!  

How about we get more answers than questions before we make any decisions that will affect generations of American citizens.     Or better yet, here’s a crazy idea.    If you make money, you pay taxes and get profit.   If you buy a house, you make a house payment.   If you lose money in your business you lose your business.   If you do not pay your house payment you lose your home.   The US government just makes certain that ALL transactions are handled fairly.   Fair interest rates.   No ARMS!!!   NO 40 year loans.   Nothing that is NOT fair. 

UNTIL THE DAY FAIRNESS IS RESTORED TO OUR BELOVED COUNTRY, I BELIEVE OUR ONLY HOPE IS THE PEOPLE.   WE THE PEOPLE MUST FIGHT TOGETHER TO RESTORE FAIRNESS.  WE THE PEOPLE MUST WORK TIRELESSLY UNTIL TERM LIMITS FOR EVERY MAJOR OFF ICE THAT HAS AN ELECTED OFFICIAL HAS A TERM LIMIT.  UNTIL THEN, WE WILL SEE PROMISES, EXCUSES, AND BAD MOUTHING.   UNTIL WE THE PEOPLE IN MASS CLAIM OUR BIRTHRIGHT AND LIMIT POWER, NOTHING WILL CHANGE!
